Known for their exceptional durability, precision, and ability to withstand harsh environments, these hex bars are crafted to meet rigorous industrial standards. The 347H stainless steel variant is particularly valued for its impressive high-temperature strength and corrosion resistance, making it perfect for demanding applications in tough settings. At Sadiki Metals, every hex bar is designed to provide outstanding mechanical performance, dimensional stability, and reliability, establishing the company as a trusted ally for industries in need of premium stainless steel solutions.
Stainless Steel 347H Hex Bars are an austenitic stainless steel alloy, primarily made up of 17–19% chromium, 9–13% nickel, and stabilized with 0.5–1.0% niobium. The “H” in its name signifies a higher carbon content (0.04–0.10%) that enhances its high-temperature strength. These hex bars boast impressive tensile strength (around 515–760 MPa) and yield strength (approximately 205–275 MPa), along with good elongation (40% or more). They are highly resistant to intergranular corrosion, oxidation, and scaling at elevated temperatures, making them suitable for high-stress, high-temperature applications in industrial settings.

SS 347H stainless steel contains high carbon content (0.04–0.10%), along with chromium (17–19%) and nickel (9–12%), which enhance its resistance to high temperatures and intergranular corrosion. Its stabilizing addition of tantalum or niobium prevents carbide precipitation, making it ideal for high-stress applications like hexagonal bars.
The high carbon content in SS 347H enhances its high-temperature strength and resistance to creep, making it suitable for extreme heat environments. Unlike lower-carbon steels, it stabilizes its microstructure, preventing carbide precipitation and improving oxidation resistance, which is crucial for high-temperature applications compared to other stainless steels like 304 or 316.
SS 347H Hex Bar is commonly used in the aerospace, chemical processing, and power generation industries. It is preferred for its excellent high-temperature resistance, resistance to intergranular corrosion, and stability in harsh environments. Its ability to withstand extreme temperatures and prevent carbide precipitation makes it ideal for critical applications.
Stainless Steel 347H Hex Bars find extensive use in industries that demand high-temperature strength and corrosion resistance. They are frequently utilized in chemical processing equipment, heat exchangers, furnace components, turbine parts, and boiler applications. Additionally, they are used in aerospace components, petrochemical equipment, and structural elements exposed to extreme conditions. The material’s capability to endure oxidation and intergranular corrosion at high temperatures makes it an excellent choice for various applications.
