Fabricated using advanced technology and high-grade raw materials, these bars and rods are ideal for applications requiring easy fabrication and welding without the risk of carbide precipitation. As a low-carbon variant of Stainless Steel 304, 304L ensures long-term performance in corrosive and oxidizing environments. Sadiki Metals provides these hex bars and rods in various sizes, finishes, and specifications to meet diverse industrial and structural needs.
Stainless Steel 304L Hex Bar/Rod primarily contains chromium (18–20%), nickel (8–12%), and low carbon (≤0.03%), with additions of manganese, silicon, sulfur, and phosphorus. This balanced composition enhances corrosion resistance, especially against intergranular corrosion after welding. The alloy offers a tensile strength of around 485 MPa, yield strength of 170 MPa, and elongation of 40%. It maintains good toughness even at sub-zero temperatures, along with excellent formability and weldability. The material also provides high resistance to oxidation and scaling, ensuring reliable performance in both chemical and marine environments.

SS 304L hex bars/rods are typically available in sizes ranging from 3.17mm to 350mm in diameter, with lengths of 2 to 7.5 meters. These bars come in various finishes, such as polished or cold-drawn. Custom sizes and specifications can also be produced upon request to meet specific needs.
Yes, SS 304L hex bars/rods are highly weldable and suitable for fabrication into complex shapes. Their low carbon content minimizes carbide precipitation during welding, reducing the risk of corrosion. This material's excellent ductility and toughness allow easy forming, machining, and fabrication, making it ideal for intricate designs and applications.
SS 304L has lower carbon content than standard 304, reducing carbide precipitation and enhancing corrosion resistance, particularly after welding. While slightly lower in strength compared to higher-carbon grades like 304 or 316, it maintains excellent toughness and durability. SS 316 offers superior corrosion resistance in chloride environments due to added molybdenum.
Stainless Steel 304L Hex Bars and Rods are widely used across multiple industries due to their strength, durability, and corrosion resistance. They are ideal for chemical processing equipment, food and beverage machinery, heat exchangers, marine fittings, and pressure vessels. In the construction and architectural sectors, they are used for supports, frameworks, and decorative elements. Their low carbon content makes them suitable for welded structures exposed to high temperatures. Additionally, they find applications in pharmaceutical plants, paper mills, and petroleum refineries where hygiene, strength, and long service life are essential requirements.

We provide products that come with both mill test certificates and third-party test certificates, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance.
